This may seem weird but I disliked Taylor for a loooong time. (I can't believe I'm writing this post). Not that I was a 'hater' or anything like that... Something about her was antipathic. I can't exactly pinpoint what it was but I just couldn't like her and I couldn't enjoy her music (I tried to like it, I really did). Ok this with music was probably because country music is not my cup of tea. The majority of her songs were about her ex boyfriends and I used to not like that (I was like: "Can she just write about something else? She's annoying..."). And the media is always picking on Taylor because of that. But then I realised that there are male music artists who write songs about their exes all the time too (and nobody gives a toss about it). It's normal for a songwriter to write about their life and ex boyfriends/girlfriends are a part of it and it's totally ok to write about them.
Then her new album '1989' came out this year. I avoided listening to it for weeks because what if I actually like it? I read on the Internet that it's her first pop album and a lot of people think it's good. One day I was just like ok whatever let's do this and I finally gave it a listen. And... I liked it... (Wait what?!? Yes, I think this album is alright).
I also read some articles about the album/songs and watched some interviews with Taylor (here is the link of one of the interviews if you want to watch it) which I have never done before. When I was searching for them on You Tube I came across this one where she talks about the song 'Style' (with Ryan Seacrest) and the entire interview is basically Ryan trying to get Taylor to say, that this song is about Harry Styles... But she is heaving none of it and it's sick and tired of people trying to find out who are the songs about. Honestly I would be annoyed too (I was annoyed when watching this interview) and I take my hat off to her for being good with words and staying calm when dealing with people like this. I personally don't really care who are the songs about, I care about how they sound and feel (like T.S. said in the interview).

A little bit about Taylor's fifth studio album:
"1989 is a pop album which Swift described as her "first documented official pop album," representing a musical departure from the country pop style in her earlier works. The album's production differs from Swift's previous work. Unlike others, 1989 is built over drum programming, synthesizers, pulsating bass, processed backing vocals, and guitars." (source)
The album comes with 13 polaroids with handwritten lyrics on the bottom. In total there are 65 different Polaroids. That means you'll have to buy 5 copies of her album if you wish to collect all of them.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any appropriate audio/video of the songs because they're nowhere to be found due to copyright (I'm going to add them later if I'll find them).
Here are the songs I like the most with matching polaroids/lyrics. (I must say that I really, really like them - the polaroids.)
Bad Blood
So this is it, I'm finally ok with Taylor Swift. Her new album is alright, I don't love it but I do sing along when I'm listening to it. Also did I mention that I love the whole idea with polaroids? ...Yeah, I kinda want to buy '1989' just for the polaroids (maybe that was the strategy to sell so many copies of it).

Out of the Woods
The sound of it kind of reminds me of ABBA?
I Know Places
I like the chorus of this song.
I Wish You Would
It reminds me of HAIM?
All You Had to Do Was Stay
I like the high pitched "stay" in the background.
(Bonus tracks on the deluxe version of the album.)
Wonderland
Again, I like the drums in this one.
New Romantics
You Are In Love
It's a cute song about being in love. I like the chorus.
